FINE ART WEDDING ALBUMS

/ How thick matte paper and velvet (or linen) might just bring you to tears.

I try to make the experience of getting your wedding photos special— a beautiful gallery, possibly a slideshow, a solid wood USB drive… but ultimately that’s just you staring at a screen. When your friends stop by are you really going to load up that USB drive and look through your 800 photos? Are YOU going to even do that on your own time after that initial viewing?

We all know there’s something about holding a print in your hand that’s just different than seeing a photo of something on your phone. Yeah, even with nifty apps these days, getting photos printed is still a friggen process. But ohhh baby when those come in the mail it’s like Christmas. That photo I quickly snapped of my daughter at 6 months old is suddenly special because now that it’s printed, I’m going to look back at that moment with the same sense of nostalgia that I have when I pull out the giant box of albums and loose photos at my parent’s house.

All that to say—
PRINTED PHOTOS
ARE MAGIC
.
And I believe in their power.

When you go to an art museum you’re seeing heavily curated work— the best of the best, and because it’s so distilled, each piece is POWERFUL. A wedding album has the same effect. We’re taking those 800 photos and distilling down to the best of the best: the most character-enhancing, laugh out-loud funny, or sun-soaked-light-flare gorgeous to tell the story of your wedding day (and a wedding day is certainly a story— with scene-setting, character building, drama, joy, a beginning and an end). It’s a process. But when my own wedding album came in the mail.. it made me a believer. I forgot the stressful moments that happened on our wedding day because the story of the day is told in an album where my husband looked at me like I was the world, and we laughed and cried and I shoved cake in his face and it def got up his nose.

A high-quality, well-designed album might just change your perspective.

Print. your. photos.
